Born and raised in the picturesque state of Virginia, Nicholas Murphy’s journey into the world of chiropractic care began with a deep-rooted curiosity about the body’s natural healing abilities. Nicholas, born on April 22, 1985, in Wise, Virginia, spent his formative years exploring the rolling landscapes of his hometown. The son of a nurse and a holistic health enthusiast, he was exposed to diverse perspectives on healthcare from an early age.

Educational Pursuits
Nicholas pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina Upstate, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology. During his time at USC Upstate, he became increasingly interested in the principles of holistic health and the body’s innate capacity for self-healing. This passion led him to Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where he embarked on a transformative educational journey.
At Sherman College, Nicholas delved into the art and science of chiropractic care, honing his skills in spinal adjustments, patient-centered care, and the philosophy of natural healing. Known for his dedication to academic excellence, Nicholas spent 4 years earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
Professional Career
Following the completion of his chiropractic education, Dr. Nicholas Murphy sought to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of individuals. Drawn to the vibrant city of Austin, Texas, he established his chiropractic practice, “Pure Relief Chiropractic,” where he has been providing personalized and holistic care to the community.
Dr. Murphy is recognized for his integrative approach to chiropractic treatment, combining traditional spinal adjustments with modern techniques and a focus on overall wellness. His commitment to ongoing education and staying abreast of the latest advancements in chiropractic care reflects his dedication to providing the highest quality of service to his patients.
Away From the Office
Nicholas shares his life and home in Austin with his beloved wife, Tess, creating a harmonious environment that extends beyond the walls of his practice. The Murphys are accompanied by their three feline companions—Marm, Mila, and Maryn—who add a touch of warmth and playfulness to their household.
Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Murphy and Tess are avid supporters of local art and music scenes in Austin. They enjoy exploring the city’s diverse culinary offerings, hiking the scenic trails of the Texas Hill Country, and fostering a sense of community within their neighborhood.
